~Join me in Just for Me Day!
Today, I need to rest on the page and do some inner work. I need to do some pampering, A cup of tea meditation by Stephen Levine; some time devoted to study; and perhaps a candlelit bubble bath just for me; is just what I need. I have noticed that the middle of my week is time for me to just be, without pressure or too much responsibility. A play date is in order today. Let’s have some fun and celebrate the journey and lighten the load today! I would love to share a poem with you that bring me joy and peace. As you celebrate your day, think about what a day like this would mean to you? What kinds of things would entertain you or allow you to just be…free to allow some fun pampering and celebration for the load you might be carrying from your week.
Poem by Kimberly A. Cavanagh
Morning Sunrise in the Catskills
The sun highlights the maple trees
Around me
The brook trickles through the
Rocks and snow
The birds flutter together
The tiny striped chipmunk suns itself
On the wooded platform
The downy woodpeckers call
To each other
The sun is rising up over the mountains now
Pouring forth
Its gold
Its Rays are magical
On Kelsey Drive
I sit on the Rock outside
And pleasurably witness
This space and time
I close my eyes
Breathe the mountain air in
And smile…
The sun’s dial warms me
Like never before
Each strand of my hair feels the shine
I am in the Divine Light
Surrounded by the call of nature
I hear the mourning doves
I am in rapture
As I capture
What it feels like
To be a
Goddess
