Me and Sunny Sending Our Love

My daughter, Sunsetta, continues to be an inspiration for me everyday the way she sends her love so easily to everybody she meets. She handles her disablities so well that most people aren't even aware that she has any, but at the same time, she isn't ashamed to let people know what they are. She finds role models and wears them like a badge of courage around her heart. Yes, this is my girl, and I am one proud Mom.

She is ten years old and it wasn't an easy year to attain. A lot of hard things hit us all at once, but as long as we have each other, I know we can face whatever this life has to offer. Together, frame by frame, present moment to present moment, we are making history by surviving and thriving our way through this pandemic; We have pulled each other through the hard time of nearly losing her Dad, and now we are staying home together and virtually learning how to attend school, how to keep friends, and continue to sustain hope in this time.

She tells me that I am her angel. I think she is mine.
