Whether morning breaks or I am viewing the sunrise it never gets old on CrestView Drive. I am rising with the birds this morning listening to the robins and the red winged black birds. I often rise early to get some time in before the world tells me who I have to be. I spend my early morning awakening often meditating and praying about the good things in my life. I am a mother of three beautiful children, ages 19, 16, and 9 years old. My son, Joel graduated from high school and is in college aspiring to be a doctor. My eldest daughter, Mandy, is a junior in high school and is an artist, and my youngest daughter, Sunsetta, is head strong and just as talented and gifted as the other two. I am blessed. I also have a life partner who supports me in the work that I do and my writing career. He is one who pushes me toward excellence on a daily basis. He is father to Sunsetta and a remarkable step dad to the other two. I am a poetess in every sense of the word. I have written 3 books of poetry so far. It is my hope that you will check them out and allow yourself to be inspired. Poetry is an easy medium for me and within it are layers of meaning that present itself to be enjoyed by the writer and the reader alike. Come, join me in the joyful pursuit of discovering meaning in your own life as we embark together from the blank page and blank canvas. My pen is my paint brush. A new day is dawning, discover it, with all of your senses. God has gifted me with my abilities and the holy spirit guides me in this journey from pen to page. The red winged black bird calls me to go outside and welcome in the sun streaming through my writing window. My home is my sanctuary and I dream of endless possibility as I work toward improving the lives around me in my little corner of the world.
