Something New

In the morning I am led studying scripture through song

He shines his beauty through the power of the Holy Spirit

And I see

That I am honored and loved all of the time

Through the blood of Jesus Christ who saved me

I do repent and lament

But it is a silent joy in the doing

So

I am led to forgiveness

Of myself for my transgressions

For I am not perfect

So

I can forgive others

He makes me paths through the wilderness to

The fortress of my meadow

And cleanses me through the enthusiasm

Of living water

In the morning deep

I am lead back to myself

Through the pages of scripture and

Pen to page

I see

Candlelight visions

I see the valley of the winking sun

I fear not

For I am forever a child of God

Nobody has loved me this much

I will forever sing praises and be jubilant

For I have something new

To celebrate
